Lab Overview
1. Design of energy materials
Energy storage materials are designed by combined first principles calculations using state-of-the-art DFT
(Density Functional Theory) and various nanofabrication and characterizations.

2. Lithium secondary batteries and beyond
Lithium ion batteries are currently one of the most popular types of battery for portable electronics, and on the
verge of being applied to electric vehicles and storage of renewable energy. The advanced batteries with new
material and chemistry is critically demanded.
