Research Interests
1. Thermoelectric materials with high efficiencies* Oxide thermoelectric materials with high efficiencies at temperatures higher than 600K
* Tellirides and silicides thermoelectric materials with high efficiencies at low and mid temperature ranges
* Energy harvesting with thermoelectric micro power devices
* Thermoelectric devices with improved efficiencies in wide temperature range using thermal/interface engineering
* Applications: power generation (large-scale and micro), cooling (refrigerator, chip-cooling device, etc.)2. Thermochromic smart windows* Oxide coating which can automatically control window glass IR transmittance in different temperatures
* Anti-reflection coating which can improve the luminous transparency
* Applications: energy saving windows for buildings and automobiles3. Multi layer oxide films for high temperature superconducting wires* Epitaxial growth and characterization of multi layer oxide films
* Continuous film deposition for the fabrication of long wires
* Applications: Superconducting electric devices with negligible loss for energy efficient power systems (Electric
transmission cables, motors, transformers, power generators, fault current limiters, etc.)4. Transparent conductive oxide thin films* Indium-free transparent conductive oxide electrode materials
