[Abstract]
Based on near-field and far-field chiro-optical microscopy, we demonstrated that plasmonic materials yield highly enhanced local chiro-optical effects near the nanostructures, even in achiral nanostructures, suggesting strong chiral near-field interactions. The strong chiral near-field interaction gave highly circularly polarized luminescence from achiral dye molecules combined with chiral gold nanostructures.
