Introduce you to another version of NIMS’s student program: NIMS Internship.
Unlike the ICGP, the NIMS Internship is open to both undergraduate and master's students and this short program, lasting up to 90 days, provides an excellent opportunity for students to gain valuable experience with NIMS.
Applications for NIMS Internship 2025's 1st round are now open, so I kindly ask for your assistance in sharing this information with prospective students interested in ICGP and professors who are considering sending students to NIMS.
Below, you will find general information about the NIMS Internship Program.
Eligibility: Undergraduate and Graduate Students
Financial support:
Daily allowance: 2,560 yen/day (for up to 90 days)
Accommodation: NIMS-designated accommodation (for up to 90 days)
Please note: Travel expenses will not be covered by NIMS.
Application deadline: Friday, January 31, 2025
Application process:
1. Students are encouraged to search for researchers who match their research field on the NIMS Researcher Search Site "SAMURAI" (https://samurai.nims.go.jp/?locale=en ) , contact them directly and send them the following application documents:
(1) NIMS Internship Application Form Downloadable from the NIMS website:

(2) Curriculum vitae
(3) Certificate of enrollment (issued within the last 3 months)
(4) Academic transcript (For graduate students, from undergraduate program)
2. After agreeing to accept the student, the NIMS researcher will proceed to submit the application to our office.
