I truly appreciate your great cooperation for our graduate program to foster young scientists.

The application calling for autumn 2021 students opens now. 
We have set the deadline for the acceptance of Graduate Program Application.
Since it takes about several months to complete the acceptance procedures including document screening from the application submission to the training start in NIMS, we would like to settle the following deadline.

Application Deadline:  April 15, 2021
Document Screening:  April - May, 2021
Announcement of the result: Mid June, 2021
Training Start: Some day in September - November, 2021

[Current situation in Japan and expected trouble]
As entry into Japan is completely suspended at the moment, we are not allowed to proceed with the Visa applications for ICGP students until the lift of the restrictions.
Therefore, please remind that the training start date can be delayed depending on the immigration situation.
We will inform of the latest situation in Japan, at the announcement of result.

 [Self-quarantine cost]
In usual time, financial support provided by NIMS is as follows.
*Accommodation fee in Tsukuba 
*Living Expenses (120,000 JPY/m ≒ 1,150 USD/m)

Adding to the above, in case 14 days self-quarantine upon arrival to Japan required, NIMS covers the costs for hotels during the period and transportation from the airport to Tsukuba.
