Electrical Modulation of Exciton Complexes in Light-Emitting Tunnel Transistors of a van der Waals Heterostructure (Prof. Gwan-Hyoung Lee’s group)


 

Gwan-Hyoung Lee group (Seoul National University) fabricated the light emitting tunneling transistors (LETT) based on van der Waals heterostructures. LETT emits electroluminescence from selectively generated exciton complexes (exciton, trion, and exciton-polaron) at room temperature by using direct injection/extraction of electrons in a tunnel junction. This work was published on ACS Photonics and highlighted in supplementary cover images.
