1. High temperature superconductor and coated conductors (CCs)* A biaxially textured thin film fabricated by the Ion Beam Assisted Deposition (IBAD) method and its characterization
* REBa2Cu3O7- (RE : Y and rare earth elements) CCs fabricated by pulsed laser deposition (PLD), metal-organic deposition (MOD) and the reactive co-evaporation deposition & reaction (RCE-DR) process
* Application: cable, motor, transformer, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)2. Thin film solar cell* CuInGaSe2(CIGS) based thin film solar cells fabricated by the sputter method
* High efficiency Si thin film solar cells by controlling the biaxial texture of Si
* Fabrication of high quality transparent conducting oxide(TCO) thin films by the sputter method
* Application: thin film solar cell, display devices3. Magnetic thin film and bulk devices* Ferromagnetic materials such as manganites and spinel ferrites
* Hard magnetic materials such as hexaferrites
* Application: magnetic device, magnetoresistance(MR) sensors4. Dielectric thin film and bulk devices* Dielectric thin films and bulk devices with high dielectric constant such as CaCu3Ti4O12
