서울대학교 정인호 교수, 미국철강협회(AIST) John F. Elliott Lectureship Award 선정

서울대학교 정인호 교수, 미국철강협회(AIST) John F. Elliott Lectureship Award 선정   서울대학교 정인호 교수가 2022년 미국 철강협회에서 수여하는 최고상 중 하나인  John F. Elliott Lectureship Award를 받게 되었다.  본 상은 미국 MIT의 J.F. Elliott교수의 이름을 딴 상으로, 철강관련 화학야금과 재료화학 분야에 지대한 공로를 인정받은 자에게 수상하는 상이다. 본 상을 받은 수상자는 수상 후 1년간 전세계 다수의 학교를 방문하면서 강의를 하게 되고 이에 대한 경비를 AIST에서 보존해 준다.  정인호 교수는 다음과 같은 공로를 인정받아서 이번에 수상하게 되었으며, 이번 5월  AISTech 미국철강학회에서 시상식이 열린다.  “For his development of comprehensive thermodynamic databases and process simulation models for applications to iron and steelmaking processes, and for his education of computational thermodynamics for the global pyrometallurgy community.”  1991년 부터 본 상을 시상한 이래로, 정인호 교수는 한국에서는 첫번째 수상자이고 역대 최연소 수상자 중 한명이다.
